1. •    Stay at a hotel you know is nice, safe and in a good area of town. Treat yourself and make your overnight stay something special at the Best Western which has an outdoor pool and is a short walk to beautiful Ft. Lauderdale beach with basketball courts, volleyball courts, picnic tables, and the warm, blue water of the Atlantic Ocean!   
   

2. •    Be with the leader in scout travel, Blue Sky Adventures, and have confidence that all reservations will be as promised. We are dependable, reliable and very experienced.
   

3. •    Our program is all inclusive—your fee to us includes all transportation, taxes, gratuities, meals and accommodations as specified. You only deal with us to confirm your trip and have no worries and no surprises.
   

4. •    Unlike hotel shuttles which can normally accommodate only 4 or 5 scouts and gear at a time and can take several hours to get the whole group to the hotel, your Blue Sky vehicle will leave the airport on time and your entire group will be on it together and we will have you at your first sight seeing stop within 15 minutes
   

What can go wrong if you set this trip up yourself??? LOTS and trust us on this!!!!

1. •    We see disasters everyday that happen to groups that set the trip up themselves only to find out they didn’t consider all the costs nor did they truly understand what they were getting. Here are some examples of things that usually go wrong---
   

2. •    Hotel shuttle from airport takes 2 to 3 hours to transport everyone do the hotel as the shuttle is a mini van that can only accommodate 3 to 4 scouts and gear at a time
   

3. •    Hotel not in a safe area of town and scouts spread out in rooms all over the hotel. Hotel does not provide security. No where close by to eat dinner. No stores within walking distance of hotel for last minute items needed and costly cab fares are incurred
   

4. •    Hotel rooms not ready upon arrival and takes hours to get into your rooms
   

5. •    Nothing to do at the hotel and Scouts get bored and behavior problems occur —remember, the pool is only good for an hour or two!
   

6. •    Out of pocket cost usually way underestimated
   

7. •    Vehicle does not show up on time for airport pick up or transport to and from Sea Base. Every year several groups get stuck at Sea Base or the airport when the vehicle doesn’t show up to pick them up when the group expected it to!!! We also see groups sitting in the airport for hours waiting for the hotel shuttle or the bus company hired to pick them up—no way to start your trip and no fun at all!!
   

8. •    Cost of hotel more than anticipated when taxes and extra occupant charges are added

     Day 1

1. •    Late morning (approx. 11:00 am) rendezvous with your Blue Sky Adventures tour guide at Ft. Lauderdale International Airport.
   

2. •    Lunch at The Islamorada Fish Company inside Sportsmen’s Park.
   

3. •    Visit to the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame!  The IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum captures the thrill and excitement of sport fishing. Hands-on exhibits and virtual reality fishing offers fun for Scouts of all ages!
   

4. •    We will also visit the Outdoor World; a leader among Ft. Lauderdale sport fishing outfitters, featuring an indoor pistol and archery range, and a 30,000 gallon aquarium. It is a great place to learn more about the outdoor life!
   

5. •    Head to hotel on the famous Ft. Lauderdale Beach!
   

6. •    Beach party with volleyball, Frisbee, football, wiffle ball, group swim, etc...This is the prettiest beach you will see during your stay in South Florida.
   

7. •    Catered dinner at the hotel.  Grilled chicken, Churrasco Steak, and more!  Sample Hispanic specialties like sweet plantains and black beans with rice.
   

8. •    Take a night swim in the heated pool!

THE BLUE SKY SEA BASE ADVENTURE

Ft. Lauderdale, FL

     Day 2

1. •    Hot breakfast buffet at hotel
   

2. •    En route to Sea Base, we visit the Everglades Alligator Park where you can see over 2,000 alligators and ride an airboat along the edge of Everglades National Park! We will see a terrific and terrifying snake and alligator show. After the show, get your picture taken holding a baby alligator!
   

3. •    Picnic lunch at the Alligator Park.  Choice of double cheeseburger or turkey sandwich.  We will also sample a Florida delicacy…fried alligator meat!
   

4. •    One last stop before we arrive at Sea Base.  We will walk to the end of a dock at a local marina and feed the wild tarpon!  You have never seen anything quite like this.  Watch as hundreds of these massive game fish congregate so you can feed them!
   

5. •    Transport to Sea Base for arrival by 2:30 pm.

7.     Departure Day
   

8. •    Morning (8:30 am) pick up at Sea Base.
   

9. •    Arrive at Ft. Lauderdale Airport by 11:30 am for afternoon flight
   

10. •    Depending on departure time, lunch will be either a bag lunch or a cash voucher to eat at a restaurant of your choice inside the airport.
