OUR PHILOSOPHY

      We do a whole lot more than just provide functional transportation, meals and hotels. We offer an authentic Southwest experience, rich with good times and great memories.

      From the time you arrive at the airport, you are accompanied by a professional tour guide who makes sure things go smoothly. Your guide shares local legends and stories, points out areas interest and makes sure you get a feel for the culture and history of The Southwest.



      All our activities are scout oriented ---lots of hands on, interesting and fun stuff that happens quickly and with minimal driving time. Scouts are kept moving and bus times are minimized so there is little time for boredom or behavior problems.

      Our hotel accommodations are excellent and our meals are very good and served quickly in a scout friendly environment. We believe meals are a program element and where practical, we eat at places which reflect the unique culture of the area.

      Lastly, Blue Sky Adventures is run by scouters for the benefit of scouts and scouters. We weave the ideals and methods of Scouting into our trips wherever possible. We reinforce the Crew and Crew Leader concept so necessary to a successful Philmont trek.



THE BASICS

  • Accommodations are at hotels with pools ---rooms are clean and spacious
    • Scouts are four to a room
    • Adults are two to a room

  • Airport pickup

  • Ground transportation to and from Philmont or the Double H Ranch and to all tours and attractions
  • Meals starting with lunch on arrival day and ending with lunch on departure day.
    • Breakfasts’ are all you can eat buffets
    • Dinners’ are all you can eat buffets or order from menu choices depending on itinerary and location
    • Lunches’ will vary from box lunch or hot food, depending on itinerary

  • All tours, tour and attraction reservations, admissions, park entrance fees, attraction tickets, gratuities
